BPSR highlights accomplishments in this pandemic year and wish a better new year for all
We have reached the end of this 2020, a difficult year that will leave an indelible mark on all of us, which showed our fragility in the face of nature and the profound inequalities of our societies, but also the value and importance of solidarity.
Like other journals, BPSR overcame several difficulties to continue publishing and fulfilling its mission of disseminating high quality scientific papers on topics of political science and international relations. This year, we published the complete volume 14 (2020), including the special edition on political science in Latin America, and we have already started the first issue of 2021 (volume 15), with the publication of five articles.

BPSR also brought news this year such as the creation of the “Forum” section, presenting scientific papers with current diagnoses on different and relevant political issues in Brazil. In its debut, the section focused on themes related to the environment and, together with the publication of the papers, BPSR carried out webinars with the authors and researchers in the area as discussants.
In this 2020, we also received good news. In keeping with trends in scientific publishing worldwide, since 2019, BPSR checks and replicates the results presented in articles and curates these data, making the databases and metadata available on the BPSR’s website and in the Harvard Dataverse repository. This work was recognized by the repository itself, which recommended the journal for the “Core Trust Seal Certification”, which identifies data collections that follow the best data management practices.
We wish you all an excellent 2021, lighter and in great health. And we invite you to contribute to the BPSR, submitting original articles, research notes, review essays and reviews.
Take good care and stay healthy!
